God wrote the story of your life before you were even born.  He wrote HIStory, and He writes your story! But sometimes life gets bogged down with so much clutter that we can no longer see the purpose God has in store for us.

You are here for a reason!!  I want to help you remove any clutter that is getting in the way of God’s specific purpose for your life. YOUR PURPOSE is HIStory!

I have been married for almost 20 years to my high school sweetheart Josh.  Here we are with our two “Mini Me” teenagers Randsley and Bryceton.  Randsley loves organizing, planning, and dreaming.  Bryceton loves anything that has to do with a ball, especially a baseball.

Ever since I can remember I have loved God and felt he existed.  I don’t why this is.  If there was a defining moment, I don’t remember it.  The only way I can explain it is like there was a string that kept pulling me back to him, one that was tied from my heart to His. He was out there somewhere and I kept trying with all my might to get to Him.

In early middle school, I asked my mom to sign me up for Vacation Bible School at a church we sometimes attended.  She did and I loved it! In 7th grade, a friend asked me to go to Christian summer camp with her and I remember feeling like it was where I belonged. I would stand there singing “Here I Am Lord” literally thinking “here I am Lord use me, please!!!”

I am still praying that prayer!  I want God’s will to be done in my life no matter what.

When I was 19 I left NY and moved to Florida.  I attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.  There I spent a few crazy years living like a typical college kid (only in paradise near the beach).  Yes it was the time of my life!  A couple of months after graduation I had the opportunity to move to Charlotte, NC.  I knew the job market was hopping there so I jumped on it!  Fast forward about two years when 911 happened.

By then I had married my high school sweetheart Josh and we were expecting our first baby.  That unforgetably heart breaking day happened and a few short months later I was laid off from my job at Clear Channel radio.  Up until that point in my life my goal was to land a job in advertising or marketing for a big corporation.  I had worked for several and I was not happy.

Being laid off gave me time to think.  I picked up a book called “Do What You Love and the Money Will Come”.  It kept asking me “What are you passionate about?”.  The first word that would jump in my head each time was organizing.  That was something that really got me excited!  But I didn’t think I could really make a living doing that.  But after a lot of soul searching and praying I knew God was whispering….”go for it, I gave you this gift and this passion for a reason”.

See God chooses us.  The Father is the one that plays the most active role in salvation and your relationship with Jesus. God draws us to Him.  He chooses us, picks us, calls us, ANOINTS us!  Then when we accept that probing or calling, we give our life to Him and because of that we WANT to be more like Jesus.  SO God does the urging and then we decide whether or not we want to believe.

He has written the story of our life before we are even in our mother’s womb.  He writes history because it is HIStory.  He writes your story!  And then its like a big curtain following us around on earth separating our reality of every day life from HIStory and until we learn how to pull back that curtain we will never know what he has planned for us.  OUR PURPOSE is HIStory!!!

College in South Florida, when you are from a small town, was a BIT of an eye opener.  I saw things I had never experienced before.  And although I kept praying and going to church I was not always acting like the person God wanted me to be.  I was delaying that curtain being drawn back.

One week after my college graduation I moved to Charlotte, NC and found myself smack dab in the middle of the bible belt.  Shorty after my arrival I started getting lonely. My high school love, now turned fiance, worked nights and I had no friends.  I prayed that God would bring me some.  Soon I met a mentor, which lead me to a fantastic bible study and new friends.  I realized I wanted to help empower women so I began volunteering at a women’s transitional house in my neighborhood called Catherine’s House.

A few months later I landed my first corporate position.  That lead to several others.  I was fresh out of college working for one corporation after another doing what I thought I should do having a degree in Business and Marketing.  But God had a whole other plan waiting for me.

Remember he has already written HIStory.

So what happened next?  911 happened.

911 happened and EVERYTHING changed.  Not only for the world but in my small corner of it.

I was laid off from my job in advertising.  By that point I was married and our daughter was about 6 months old.  At first, I was pretty excited that I could collect unemployment to stay home with my baby!  But, I soon realized that I missed working.  I did not want to go back to Corporate America and leave my daughter full time but I did want to do something.  I picked up a book called “Do What You Love and The Money Will Follow“.  “Hmmmm, really?”  I thought.

The book asked me questions like: what are you passionate about?  what do you love doing? etc.  My answers kept coming back to organizing.  But honestly I kept talking myself out of it because at the time I only knew of two professional organizers.  I won’t go into the entire self discovery journey that book took me through but let’s just say by the end of the book I knew I had to try and create a business doing what I loved -organizing!

I really had no idea what would happen that day I said yes to organizing.  I started my business in Charlotte which soon lead me to a move back home to NY.  I started a weekly newsletter on my website which lead to the first of four books being published (the Organize Now! series).  Which each book I released my clientele along with my speaking engagements grew.  It was a fun and exciting ride!
